One of the main components in completing any woman’s look is her hair. Hair can be an outward projection of interior character and can even alter the way people perceive you. This season, one beauty and hair trend ran rampant through the runways. Juliet from William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet wore it, Jane from Tarzan sported it, and even the late, great Amy Winehouse dabbled in it. Frizzy hair is back and it’s better than ever!

The new frizz is in the shape of a wave infused ponytail. This easy-to-do hairdo is flexible enough to wear anywhere and gives off a girl next door meets fairy tale princess vibe that doesn’t look too plain or whimsical. Even better, it’s durable. Tibi was just one of the many designers that showcased this frizzy wrapped ponytail as a way to insert romance into their fall runway collection. Here are step-by- step instructions on how to achieve this fantastical tail.

1. Apply a volumizing tonic or boosting root serum to your roots making sure to apply evenly all over the scalp. 2. Blow dry your hair from the front to the back and use one hand as a comb following the heat.

3. Use an elastic band to tie your hair back into a ponytail. Pull a long strand of hair from the back of your scalp and wrap it around the band hiding it.

4. Pull strands of hair from your crown and let them hang loose, giving your front a disheveled look. 5. Finish off with a little hairspray to make sure no unwanted flyaways perk up.

If your hair doesn’t curl naturally try pulling strands into ringlets around your fingers, then apply a small amount of hairspray to freeze the makeshift curl.

This look is easy to achieve with the right products. If you have thin hair, try using a product that promises volumizing, and if your hair is already thick, then all you need is a bit of hairspray. A little bit of frizz is in fashion now, but don’t let it overwhelm your most important feature: You!
